Great Park Circulation Study
On May 22, 2023, a contract was awarded to the firm Sam Schwartz Engineering in an amount of $55,944.00. The contract awarded to Sam Schwartz was procured in accordance with the City of Irvine’s Financial Policy, Section 4.2. The report was completed and dated November 2023. This study began looking at transit systems that could be implemented within the Great Park to optimize mobility and assess case studies from other parks and prominent cultural districts across the country.
Great Park Board Adoption of the Framework Plan
Mobility Integration Analysis – Kellenberg Studios
On April 22, 2022, the City hired SWA Architects to develop the Great Park Framework Plan. Included within that contract are subconsultants with specialty areas of expertise including Kellenberg Studios. Steve Kellenberg is an Urban Planner who had various tasks including advising the design team on insuring that the Great Park is maximized in terms of pedestrian, cycling, and transit. Mr. Kellenberg has estimated that during the development of the framework plan, he focused 40 hours towards that purpose.

Participate in a 5-mile ride within the Great Park or a 25-mile ride along Irvine’s bikeways. The ride will start and end at Hangar 244 at the Great Park, located at 8000 Great Park Blvd.
Enjoy family-friendly concerts at Mike Ward Community Park — Woodbridge covering a variety of musical tastes from country rock and dance hits to classic soul and orchestra music.
