Update on Irvine Library Location Hours

In March 2025, the California Office of the State Fire Marshal (OSFM) released its 2025 Recommended Local Responsibility Area Fire Hazard Severity Zone maps for the state of California, including Irvine.

The 2025 Local Responsibility Area Fire Hazard Severity Maps are developed by Cal Fire using the latest climate data, fire history, topography, and wildfire modeling to classify areas as Moderate, High, or Very High fire hazard zones.   

The community is invited to Hicks Canyon for an outdoor family movie night on the big screen. Bring low-back chairs, blankets and a picnic, or purchase tasty treats from gourmet food trucks and a snack bar. Guests can arrive early with food trucks available beginning at 6 p.m. Movies begin after sunset and are weather permitting.

Pack a picnic, grab a lawn chair or blanket, and gather the family for an evening of outdoor summer fun! A long-standing summer tradition, Symphony in the Cities, brings thousands of people together to enjoy a variety of popular classics, pop tunes, and patriotic songs at a local park each year. This year’s concert will be held at Mike Ward Community Park — Woodbridge. Pre-concert, family-friendly activities begin at 5:30 p.m., followed by the concert beginning at 7 p.m.
